Bush Break, Made Easy
Kukula Safaris
From farm fields to untamed bush — discover a wild escape just two hours from Lusaka

Welcome to
Kukula Wildlife
Years ago, Kukula was rows of crops, herds of cattle, and the odd sheep or pig. Today it’s something else entirely. Nature took back her space – grasses returned, the soil revived, and the bush began to breathe again. With a handful of animals introduced, life flourished beyond expectation. The result? A thriving patch of wilderness perfect for weekend getaways, game viewing, photography and unhurried bush time.

Stay With Us

What Our Guests Say
Stories from the bush, straight from those who’ve stayed with us.
Kukula is such a fun and easy getaway! It’s less than half the distance of most similar safari experiences from Lusaka and offers beautiful, low-stress accommodations: ensuite tented rooms, a cozy gathering area, and a well-equipped kitchen. Guests can choose full independence or light, friendly support from staff. The pricing is simple and fair, too, charged per room, not per person, and the experience feels refreshingly uncommercialized. Game drives can be taken at your own pace, with an incredible variety of endemic antelope and other wildlife – some of which you rarely see elsewhere. We’ve visited more than once and will absolutely return again. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful 3 days at Kukula. A hidden piece of heaven in the bush. Coffee and sundowners with the animals were amazing. We were never alone at camp…….ostriches, families of warthog, kudu, sable and eland. It was the perfect stay after busy days

Kukula is the perfect balance of comfort and wilderness. The setting feels completely private, with wildlife wandering right past your tent, yet every detail — from the fresh linen to the solar lighting — feels carefully thought out. We loved the freedom to cook our own meals, enjoy sunset drives, and sit around the fire under a sky full of stars. It’s a rare place that feels both wild and welcoming, and the team’s warmth makes it even more special. We left completely recharged and can’t wait to return.
